Elizabeth Tafoya

Hi, my name is Elizabeth Tafoya, but I go by Liz, I was born in Durango, CO and spent a lot of my years growing up in Salt Lake City, Utah.. In High School, we moved to Montrose, CO and that is where I graduated from. After attending Bible College in Arizona, I moved home and home was here, in Farmington, NM, I worked at Safeway for 24 years and retired from there in 2003, I got my Real Estate License in 1992 and I have been a Broker for 28 years and in those 28 years, I did own and was the qualifying Broker for Tafoya Realty. I am super excited to join American Dream Realty, love the name simply because that is my goal: To help people fulfill their American Dream in Home Ownership.
Whether it is your first, second, third or fourth home, it's always an great adventure in working with people. I love helping people get into their first home, the excitement and enjoyment makes it all worth it when you hand over them keys and they start making wonderful memories. I also love working with people that move into our area that are not familiar with New Mexico. Great things to do here and I love sharing all that with them. I also love working with Investors, properties that are a challenge are great for people also..

I am married to a wonderful man by the name of Gus Tafoya and he is the love of my life for 30 years. He is a great man who recently retired from Aztec Well Service and we both enjoy fishing, spending time with our family, cooking, entertaining and serving in our local Church.

We adopted a beautiful girl by the name of Aliyah Rose and she keeps us on our toes. She is almost 9 years old and just keeps us young at heart. We also have 2 sons that are grown Nathan and Domenic and 8 grandchildren.

Again, I am very excited to expand my horizon and do something different and am looking forward to serving my current and past clients and customers in any of their Real Estate Needs. I bring lots of years of experience with me as well as serving on the Board of Directors for San Juan County Board, I have volunteered for numerous things in our Community, served also on the Desert View Board of Directors and look forward to many great years as I continue to help people fulfill their American Dream....
